Abstract:
Prof. Gadh will highlight the impact of proliferation of Wireless
Internet in enterprises. He will touch upon important issues such as the
variety of wireless network technologies, their pros and cons, content
adaptation, security, integration with the traditional workflow practices, user
interfaces, platforms and protocols in the context of education. He will also
talk about the initiative undertaken at UCLA in incorporating Wi-Fi/WLAN
(802.11) in teaching, training and collaboration and on the funded awards
received from Intel and Microsoft to further wireless education.
